My Philosophy

How do Human Beings Flourish in Life?


At the heart of my philosophy is bringing together all the best facets of our human qualities. This enables us to thrive in both professional and personal lives.  

It includes the following: 


Uniqueness 

People thrive when they bring their unique strengths, qualities and passions to play fully in life. When individuals move past fitting into boxes, types and compliant thinking they allow their best features to be fully expressed. 

 

Potential 

There is much more to most individuals than they realise. Potential isn’t only about achieving goals or developing skills, it also includes growing personal qualities such as self-belief and confidence. When this happens, people have the capability to grow beyond anything they knew themselves to be. 


Human Flourishing

We flourish into our fullest selves when we use all our innate human qualities in the best way possible.  Education and work develops us to mostly use only two of qualities– our mental abilities (intelligence, reasoning, logic) and talents (skills, knowledge and competencies). When we bring in emotional wellbeing, senses such as intuition and positive behaviours such as commitment we bring a fuller and happier version of ourselves to life. 


Emotional Talent 

This is having a healthy relationship with oneself, with others and the world around us. It is at the heart of what gives us purpose, happiness, resilience and fulfilment. It is a talent that is seldom developed but is in fact a key ingredient for a successful, happy life.

A Multidimensional Method of Instructing 


The teaching approach in my workshops is multidimensional and I use different methods to inform, achieve mindset shift and behavioural change. This approach engages mind, body and emotion and encourages different ways to gain insight. It can include the following: 


Mind 

  • Evidence and research to show value and what works.
  • How-to guides, checklists and examples to grasp know-how quickly
  • Self-assessment for enquiry and insights
  • Frameworks for creativity and new ways of thinking 


Emotion

  • Reflective writing to gain insights especially from subconscious 
  • Meditation for self-awareness, intuitive breakthroughs, inspiration and stilling the mind 
  • Heart intelligence to gain intuition and deep self-awareness 


Body

  • Breathing exercises for focus and relaxation 


Play and Fun 

  • Changing brain states and mood to uplift and inspire
  • Relaxing the mind to access higher brain states and engage with others with ease and positivity.
